Backshore Learning is the most authentic portal to prepare for NTSE examinations with the availability of cost-effective test series. Students can get the latest updates and authentic test series of various exams in the web portal to keep them prepared as per going trend.
Atul Kutar, the founder of Backshore Learning, wrote a book for aspirants of NTSE, mainly Indian students of class 9th and 10th preparing for NTSE stage 1 from Madhya Pradesh. So my main goal was to design the front and back cover of the book.
The book is for 9th and 10th class students, so the cover must be attractive but not too much. Backshore is a term of geography, and the book content mainly focuses on Social Studies.
So I thought the front cover should be an illustration showing a book lying beside ashore. The open book would show an illustration of Sanchi Stupa, a famous historical architecture of Madhya Pradesh, and a representation of multiple-choice questions with questions in black and four options in orange.
Coming to the logo, I thought that it should carry a similar vibe and the same color palette. So in the logomark, there is a book just outside of the sea and with no details, as the small details can’t be seen clearly and can be a mess in smaller form factors. I also made a black and white version of the logo for corporate use.
This was my first project outside of my college life. I learnt a lot while doing this project. I learnt how to design a book cover keeping the audience in mind. I also polished my Adobe Illustrator skills while doing this project.
