Students helped in Mid Semester Exams
Hits on the website
Osmosis is IIT Guwahati's first-ever central repository for first-year students with resources for their mid-semester preparations. It is a community-sharing platform where students can share their files- notes, course material missing, anything else(related to academics).
Osmosis was E-Cell, IIT Guwahati's first product, well researched and released into the IIT Guwahati students' market. I was the design head of E-Cell and was responsible for designing the UI and developing the platform's front-end.
I designed an attractive landing page for the platform, after which the user will log in to the system using his IIT Guwahati's outlook credentials. After login, a minimal dashboard for the user opens up where the user can access all the resources, guides, and tips.
In the right sidebar, there is a large CTA button to share a file. It opens an uploading page where students can upload their notes, verified by the admin, and displayed in the main dashboard.
This project taught me how to design and develop faster in tighter frames of time. I designed and developed the portal in 1-2 days giving rest of the team more time to complete the back-end. I also learnt to design a very clean, minimal and functional UI.
